Banks

Torre del Mar has seven bank branches, and six of them are on Avenida de Andalucía, within a few minutes of each other. For a town this size that is a high density, and it is why many residents settle bank, gestoría and estate agency in the same walk.

Practical

• Counter service closes early. Cash and in-person transactions usually finish well before the rest of the branch, so go first thing in the morning.
• Group your errands. With the branches this close together, changing bank or requesting a certificate does not require moving the car.
• Opening an account as a non-resident works differently from a resident account and usually needs a specific document from the tax office. Ask what they need before you go, not at the counter.
