There are five car hire firms in Torre del Mar, working mostly with visitors who arrive without a vehicle.
Read this before you book
This is the trade with the lowest average customer rating in the whole directory, a 3.46, and the spread between firms is enormous. That is not a reason to avoid renting, it is a reason to check properly.
- Look at the excess and the deposit, not the daily rate. That is where the real cost of a rental hides, and it is behind almost every bad review in this sector.
- Photograph the car when you collect it and when you return it. With the number plate visible and with a timestamp. It is your only defence against a damage charge you did not cause.
- Compare with the airport. Renting in Málaga can work out cheaper, but it means getting there first. If you are staying in town, hiring here saves the journey.
