Two habits surprise people arriving from abroad. Almost everything is done through the bank's own application, including things that in other countries still happen on paper, and counter service is increasingly by appointment, with cash desks open for limited hours in the morning.

Turning up at a branch at four in the afternoon expecting to speak to somebody rarely works. Book the appointment through the app or by phone, go in the morning, and take your identity document every time even if they know you.
