Swimming pools
Three firms in Torre del Mar build, maintain and repair pools, in concrete and in fibreglass, and supply parts, pumps, filters and chemicals, on Avenida de Andalucía, Avenida del Sol and the N-340. Between the three they carry more than eight hundred public reviews, an unusually strong record for a trade this size.
A community pool is not a private one, legally
This is the distinction that matters here, in a town full of apartment blocks. A pool used by more than one household counts as a public use pool under Andalusian health rules, with obligations on water treatment, records, signage and, depending on size and depth, a lifeguard. A private pool at a single house does not carry that regime. If you are on a community committee, this is what the maintenance contract is actually for.
Maintenance is a contract, not a call out
Pool care here is normally a monthly arrangement covering water treatment, cleaning and equipment. Ask what the contract includes in winter, when the pool is not in use but the water still has to be kept alive, since that is where quotes differ.
Building one
A new pool needs a works licence from the council, and setbacks from boundaries apply. Concrete and fibreglass are different decisions on price, installation time and repair, and all three firms here will explain the trade off honestly if you ask them to compare rather than to sell.
