Torre del Mar has four jewellers, in the centre and along Avenida de Andalucía. They sell jewellery, watches and accessories, and all of them repair.

Repairs are the everyday business

Battery changes, strap adjustments, resizing a ring and restringing a chain are counter jobs here, usually while you wait or within a day. You do not need to go to the city for any of it.

Ask for the hallmark and the invoice

Precious metal sold in Spain carries a stamped fineness mark, the contraste. Ask to see it, and keep the invoice: it is what proves the piece and its weight if you ever insure or resell it.

If you are selling rather than buying

Gold buying is a common sideline in this trade. Get more than one quote in town before accepting the first, ask whether the price is per gram of pure gold or of the alloy, and expect to show identification. It is a regulated purchase, not a casual one.
