Six shops cover furniture, decoration and household goods in Torre del Mar, from a full furniture shop on Calle San Andrés to decoration and gift shops in the centre and a general bazaar for the things you only notice you need after moving in.
Kitchens are their own trade here
Worth saying before you go looking: fitted kitchens are not sold in the furniture shops. Torre del Mar has six specialist kitchen studios, almost all on the same street, and they are listed separately.
Two things to settle before paying
- Ask for the delivery date in writing. Most furniture here is ordered, not taken from stock, and the wait is normally weeks. In summer it stretches.
- Ask whether they take the old one away. Bulky waste collection in this municipality works by appointment, so having the shop remove the old furniture saves a step.
Made to measure is normal, not a luxury
Wardrobes and interior fittings built to the dimensions of the flat are standard practice in this trade and are quoted as such. If a wall is not straight, which in older buildings here it often is not, that is the route that actually works.
