Gyms

There are eight gyms in Torre del Mar and they divide into two models that are not competing for the same person.

• The large chain, with long opening hours and the biggest membership in town. Right if you train on your own and want to turn up whenever.
• Small functional training boxes, with very loyal followings and the highest ratings of the trade. Right if you want someone correcting your technique.

Ask three things before you sign

• The joining fee, the minimum term and how you cancel. That is the real price difference between the two models, and where the local complaints concentrate.
• How many classes you will actually use. A chain membership is cheap for the gym floor and expensive if what you want is coaching.
• Where it is. Calle los Fenicios holds three facilities within a few metres, including the largest sports centre and the padel club, so you can compare in one trip.
