There is one campsite in Torre del Mar, Camping Laguna Playa, and it sits at the far end of the promenade, fifty metres from the sea. Camping in the front line of a built-up town on this coast is close to extinct, so this is unusual.

Worth knowing

With 1,840 public reviews and a 4.1 average, it is the most reviewed place to stay in the whole town, ahead of any hotel. The bungalows are the first thing to go in high season, so book those early. And when you reserve a pitch, ask about shade and hook-up: they are not all the same, and in August that matters.
