La Pescaderia sits on Calle Verdemar, in a residential part of the town where no visitor arrives by accident. That is exactly its interest. The clientele is local, the room is plain, and the price of a plate of shellfish here is not the price of the same plate on a first line terrace.
Value for money is what its reviews keep returning to, and a 4.4 earned in a street with no passing trade means something different from a 4.4 earned on the promenade. Nobody eats here twice by accident.
It opens for the midday sitting, Tuesday to Sunday. Walk up from the seafront, it is a few minutes inland, and go with the intention of eating properly rather than snacking.
