Bus station

Torre del Mar bus station

If you are not driving, this is how you get in and out of town. The station sits beside Avenida de Andalucía, a few minutes from the seafront, and it is the only public transport hub Torre del Mar has.

Where the buses go

ALSA runs the long-distance services: more than a hundred a day to Málaga, which is the one most visitors need, plus Granada, Almería, Motril and Seville. The regional lines that link the town with Vélez-Málaga and the rest of the Axarquía also leave from here.

What to know before you turn up

There is a ticket desk and an office, so you can buy in person, but in July and August the Málaga services fill up and it is worth booking ahead online. Timetables change between summer and winter, so check the date of whatever schedule you are reading.

Coming from the airport

There is no direct bus from Málaga airport to Torre del Mar. The usual route is airport to Málaga bus station, then the coastal service east, which takes around an hour and a quarter in total. If you land late, a taxi is the realistic option.
