Chiringuito Delfin El Canito

Delfin El Canito is the plain version of a chiringuito, on the quieter Levante promenade. Boat, wood, canes, sardines. Fried fish and rice for the rest of the table. Nothing else, and nothing missing.

The detail that matters most for planning is that it serves at midday only, Tuesday to Sunday, and closes on Mondays. If you were thinking of dinner on the sand, this is not the address. If you were thinking of a long lunch that finishes with coffee while the tide comes in, it is exactly the address.

I like this end of the beach for a first day in the town. It is a fifteen minute walk east of the centre, the crowd thins out with every hundred metres, and you get the same sardines as the busy stretch without the queue. Ask what came in that morning before you order the fish.
