One salon dominates the reviews, another tops the table
The most reviewed salon holds a 4.9 across more than 1,200 opinions, which is more reviews than any other salon in the trade can show. In a business built entirely on word of mouth and repeat clients, that is a remarkable public record, and it is the clearest case in the directory of a small business out-reviewing its whole sector. It still does not top the table, because it is one of ten salons here with no website of its own. The one that does have a website leads on a 4.6.
What the ranking cannot capture
Whether a stylist can do your hair. Hairdressing is the trade where the fit between one person and one head decides everything, and no aggregate score reaches it. What the table does tell you is who has enough of a track record for the score to mean something.
Practical
- Book ahead in season. July and August fill with the seasonal population, and Saturday mornings go days in advance all year.
- Beauty is listed separately. Nails, waxing and facials were split into their own listing, because they are a different appointment.
